Trump sues in bid to block congressional subpoena of financial records

I replied to your other post, and I do not believe congress has the authority to request his tax returns as requested. And I have concerns about the burden of proof to acquire these documents (which is none).

However, the point I was trying to make is that if this position is endorsed, it is basically allowing congress to circumvent an individuals right to due process and privacy, to leak personal information about a tax payer that they do not like, in this case a political rival. That is a dangerous precedent to set.

Do you want Trump to be legally allowed to acquire your tax return and then post it because you tweeted something mean to him?
