Tucker Carlson slams 'pornographic' 'WAP' performance at the Grammys for ‘trying to degrade our culture and hurt our children’

Oh, it’s unbelievably naive to think you can shield kids from these things and to blame parents when they inevitably learn about things they shouldn’t. I’m a middle school teacher and I hear kids talking about things I couldn’t even fathom knowing about until high school or college. We’ve discussed WAP. Luckily most of the kids said they didn’t like it or thought it was gross. They had still heard it though.

This stuff is so pervasive it’s impossible to ignore it even if you genuinely have a good kid and provide them a structured home life. If it’s not on the TV it’s on the phone, if not on the phone it’s on a laptop, if not on the internet it’s talked about or shown to them by someone else.

I’m very tired of blaming parents when it’s society and the media that dictates what is popular. They know this stuff is terrible for kids and they know that’s exactly who will eat it up on Tik Tok, Twitter, YouTube, etc. Then when there’s outrage they deflect and say “parent your children better!” Like you said - the only way to combat is to confront it head on, acknowledge and explain it to your kids.
