Twitter 'bans women against trans ideology'!

It's deplorable you've received death threats and I'm really sorry to hear that. You don't deserve that.

I've been told I should 'go kill myself' (and called a TERF and a bigot) because I queried how my country, which has a national health service, will budget for things like maternity services (because current funding is based on number of women of reproductive age in the population both locally and nationally) if people can alter their birth certificates, which is something that is proposed here as an alteration to our current Gender Recognition Act (currently new identity documentation does not replace a natal birth certificate). This is just one example, by the way, I do have other concerns that I don't have time to go into now (but I would honestly love to discuss them with somebody).

And again, I can understand actual debates and questions, from people who genuinely have concerns.

As I said, there are a number of concerns I have, and none of them are "I don't like transpeople/I think transwomen aren't women/I don't want them in my bathrooms". Almost 15 years ago, in my mid teens, I was diagnosed with gender identity disorder and had two years of counselling - my issues resolved themselves over time and I did not medically transition. I don't hate transpeople. I have trans friends. My parents are lesbians and most of their friends are from the LGBT community, I abhor bigotry and hatred because I've seen it first hand towards my own family and friends.

My point is I have concerns, real concerns, that I would love to discuss and I want to be assured that I don't need to be concerned - but every time I have tried to seek out discussion on this or talk about it at all, I've been insulted and shut down and, like I said, told I should 'go kill myself'.
