I don't see how it's possible to change things without the stock market collapsing. Right now business are able to make obscene profit off of exploiting workers and paying slave wages. If companies are forced to stop these practices they will make less profit. I know there is much more than pure profit that goes into determining the value of a companies stock, but at the end of the day less profit will lower a companies profit. And it's absolutely absurd we are in this position. Employers have been allowed to screw over their employees to drive up profit for so long now there will be no easy way out. They use it as leverage. They'll say "Oh, but if we change our predatory practices it will hurt the economy". Fuck that. Things need to change. Now. Figure it out, because we are done.
