The way was clear when he was crossing, pedestrian has right of way using a crosswalk with stop signs all around, the black pickup then shows up and doesn't stop at their stop sign at all (the driver was likely fucking around with their phone) and didn't yield to the pedestrian using the fucking crosswalk. The driver was overwhelmingly at fault. There is absolutely zero potential for finger pointing at the pedestrians in these videos. There is no 'however' here. The driver of the black pickup was a cunt, end of story.

Crazy number of drivers want to empathize with other drives and find anyone else at fault, yes people can slowly jog through crosswalks.

The most bizarre thing to me is how hateful many drivers are towards cyclists and pedestrians. I love people outside of cars, they can't kill me. When I am in my car I don't mind at all if a pedestrian breaks the law, I safeguard them to the best of my ability, it's the other drivers that get my blood boiling. The difference between a cyclist and a driver is the driver actually poses a threat to my life, there is where your concern should be.
