Video Appears to Show FSU Quarterback De’Andre Johnson Hitting a Woman in a Bar

I don't know, I just replied to myself (since some ass who decided to harass me over PM is too chickenshit to reply to me here... some people, I swear) wishing I had more information and wondering what the woman said to him as soon as he approached. Had he been bothering her on the dance floor? Or did she mistake him for someone who had been? Or was she overreacting? If he was harassing her on the dance floor and she left, and he followed to take the spot next to her then I think her aggressiveness is justified. If she was overreacting and he was just trying to get a drink, then it wasn't justified.

Even so, she didn't punch him until he grabbed her. I've dealt with guys in bars who will shove their hands down your pants or up your skirt or say some nasty shit to you, and I've taken the exact same pose as her. Arm out to keep him away and fist up to threaten. No real intention of punching (since it's a terrible pose for punching) but enough to tell someone who's been bothering you to "get the fuck away".

Maybe he should have either tried to deescalate or walk away? Maybe he should have gotten the bartender's attention? Instead he grabs her hand and doesn't let her leave, holding her there while she struggles. LIke... what the fuck. If someone threatened to hit me for no reason, I'm going to back the fuck off, not give them a reason to be afraid.

And she barely hits him. It's hard to tell if her "punch" actually connects because his head doesn't move, his clothes and hat don't move and he pulls back slightly, then turns to look at her hand really quick. It looks to me like either she grazed him, or he dodged it. EVEN IF her attack was unwarranted, why does that deserve a full punch to the face and then him running away?
