Wow I couldn't disagree more, like the other guy said I've combined an absurd amount of productivity and functionality into a small computer that fits in my pocket.

With youtube app I have millions of hours of music/programmes etc.

With Kindle app I have millions of books.

Access to the internet that has most of human knowledge within.

Google maps so I can never be lost and the ability to recognise where I need to go from streetview.

Camera, to be able to just snap decent photos of whatever I like without any more stuff to lug around.

Actual phone functionality

Gaming - With 3 Apps my phone can play GBA games, NDS Games and old PC games

Its a torch which is insanely useful.
