Weekly Discussion/General Questions Thread - May 13, 2019

26, M, 145lbs, have had a dandruff problem for about 10 years now. I've always had more dandruff than the average person since I was a teenager, but nothing too crazy. The thing is, my scalp feels normal, not too oily or dry (although my hair can get a little oily at times). I've tried washing my hair with shampoo more frequently, washing my hair daily but only using shampoo 2-3 times a week, using Nizoral, etc. but nothing has seemed to work.

Recently, however, the problem has become quite noticeably worse. When i run my hand through my hair there is WAY more dandruff falling off, quite a ridiculous amount to be honest, and it doesn't seem to run out.

My question is, is there anything you would recommend me to do to help this? Also, if I were to see a doctor, would I just look for a dermatologist(?) directly? I have Tricare Reserve (US), would these visits be covered?

Thanks!
