Advice/encouragement: just as the pandemic hit, I was starting to feel comfortable enough with myself, my career, my lifestyle, and my existing close friendships to pursue a broader and more rewarding social life. Now it seems this is off the table. How do I make optimal use of this time, either to make direct progress now or to set up for success when social life resumes?

I'm 25 now. I didn't have any kind of life outside of work/study until 24. I'm worried that when we attain mass vaccination in 3-5 years, I'm going to be teleported directly into the marriage/kids social scene, and will have missed out on the social/emotional learning and life experiences most people accrue in their 20s.

So far I've got fitness and savings. This doesn't seem like enough. Some of my immigrant friends are planning to go back to normal life in their less-impacted home countries until this blows over. Maybe I ought to learn a language and try something similar?
