I clocked in 22 hours so far, so I'll just post my review from the game:

"Perhaps it's not the killing you enjoy, but the moments of silence the fighting brings you".

Beautiful, entertaining and intense adventure game will not only attract fans of Mad Max, but also anyone who is looking for a good open world game with a variety of content and stuff to explore, do and destroy.

Before I say anything else about this quality game, hats off to Avalanche studios for great optimisation. Game runs smoothly at 60 fps, no micro stuttering, no sudden unexplained FPS drops, it has plenty of different graphical options and is easy adjustable and reconfigurable.

Let's start off with the map. It's apsolutely huge! One would think that stranded in a desert would be far from entertaing, but developers managed to pull this world off beautifully from occasional wanderers that ask for a sip of water in exchange for an information, to different camps, sniper's nests and so on. There is always something going on like convoys traveling on route, war boys attacking you and trying to steal your car and so on.

Graphics wise, game is beautiful. Explosions, dust storms, all those tiny particles are visible and they really create unique immersion with not only the game but the main character - Mad Max.

Gameplay - I'd say this is the vocal point of the game. From driving, to looting, destroying, killing warboys, this game has it all. AI in this game I feel is really on point, chasing the convoy, demolishing cars, everything feels super polished.

Driving in the beginning feels somewhat stiff and weird, awkward and delayed, but as you progress and upgrade the handling, it gets only better, easier and the vehicle itself gets stronger and stronger along the way.

If you've played Batman Arkham games, the combat feels more or less the same, but with more brutality, suited to Mad Max's persona. It's very satisfying and rewarding.

Not only you are able to fully customize your car as you wish with dozens of different body's, parts and such, you are also able to change Max's outfit, grow him a beard, make him stronger, faster, more resistable and so on. Game offers a lot without being too overwhelming on that part.

When it comes to story, unfortunately I can't vouch for it and say that it's the better part of the game, but as you know, you're Mad Max, left alone to survive, find your peace and solace. Story is as good as Mad Max's story can go in my opinion.

I'd say that the negative side of this game would probably be repetitiveness. Given that there are a lot of stuff do collect, smash, dismantle, loot and so on, I can see how it can feel for stale for someone who is looking for more vibrant kind of game.

I'd rate this game a solid 8.5/10. Quality title and definitely worth the name Mad Max.
