One time I met a guy while out clubbing - he was dancing and making out with some girl (I assumed his girlfriend) but we were checking each other out and at one point, he came over to me to say 'you're beautiful'. I was pretty sober though and laughed it off.
Fast forward two weeks or so, I'm walking along a stretch of bars with some coworkers and there he is having a drink by himself! We catch each others' eye and I know it's him, but my coworkers decide to grab a drink at another bar so away I went for the second time..
...after having a glass of wine I told my coworkers I had to go (I had plans to go clubbing with some friends). But instead of going to meet my friends I circled back to the bar in hopes of finding this mysterious guy.
I saw him, said hi and said he looked familiar. He remembered me, bought me a drink and we chatted, then made plans to catch up later on in the club.
So I went to meet my friends and texted him the club I was at, but didn't get a reply. Called, he didn't answer. I should've guessed from the dial tone that his phone was dead and not that he was hanging up on me, but I was drunk by this point and had just gotten out of a messy dating situation, I.e. Kinda crazy. Ended up calling and texting an embarrassing number of times and finished by sending an angry text message (basically a fuck you for standing me up I hope you're miserable)
Wake up to massive regret the next day, he replies saying his phone died. I feel mortified and want to apologize but redo the exact same mistake where I try to call him but he hangs up.
A few weeks later I'm walking through the mall, I look up and he's walking straight towards me, holding hands with another girl. I'm too embarrassed to do anything except walk past him quickly.
A few months later I'm out with a new coworker and she introduces me to a couple of her friends...bam, he's one of them! I'm extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed, he acts like we've never met and is perfectly polite, but again I have this terrible compulsion so I bring it up and ask if he remembers me and try to apologize / explain I'm not really a crazy stalker but he isn't having it (I wonder why...)
I'd since forgotten all about him till I read this thread, no I'm not / have not stalked anyone else!
TLDR I coincidentally bumped into the same guy several times, got a bit obsessive at one point and it seemed as if I was stalking him.
