TL;DR Friend ruins my credit, leaves me homeless, cheats on his wife to be with the girl I had eyes on, moves in with her, uses her leaves her for his wife, and still wants to be friends.
My shitty friend wasn't a shitty friend at first.
I was friends with a kid in high school who had a stepdad that wasn't much older than him. His mom was almost 20 years older than her husband. I quickly became better friends with the stepdad cause we were closer in age and had more in common. I eventually move in with that friend and his family. One day, the step dad (we will call him TJ) comes to me and says , "dude get me out of here, I can't stand living with this crazy lady anymore." Knowing that their relationship is going downhill and being tired of the crazy lady and her attitude myself I agree and TJ and I move out and he divorces the mom of my now ex best friend. Since it's my fault for helping TJ get out of a situation that was pretty unhealthy, honestly. Anyways.. TJ and I move in with his friend from work who he quickly hooks up with, whatever he's happy now. Well, TJ wants to marry his girlfriend that we live with and needs help getting a wedding ring and asks me to cosign. Turns out TJ has such bad credit that it has to be put in my name and mine only so I agree and he agrees to make the payments, which he did for about 3 months. We will come back to that. Eventually TJ decides that he and his family can't live in the tiny apartment anymore and need to get a house. Turns out that good friend ChestShitter69 can't move with them because of the landlord. Well I didn't find that out till it was moving day and that was after we got all of their stuff out of the apartment. So I was homeless. I move back with my mom and decide that it's best TJ and I aren't friends anymore. Well I start getting collection calls from the ring company saying I'm not paying and that it's going to affect my credit unless I pay. I call up TJ and he says that he had been paying the whole time getting super defensive. Fast forward and I've had the ring affect my credit to the point where it can't do more damage and just start paying it off myself and confront TJ telling him I want the ring. He says SHE LOST IT. I don't buy it and tell him I'll take him to stalls claims and blah blah. It never happens. I settle with the collection agency and just pay it off to get it off my credit history. TJ and I stop talking.
Fast forward further and TJ reaches out to me and try's to make up. We end up hanging out and having drinks like old times again, it's fun and relaxing, he even moved to a part of town closer to me. Turns out he has a hot neighbor too close to my age. Well I start hanging around and getting to know the neighbor and quickly develop feelings for her. Well, so does TJ apparently. He decides that he isn't happy with his wife and kids and moves out of the apartment into hers, which is literally a foot away. So he swooped in on the girl I liked and left his wife for her and dragged me into the middle of it cause he needed my support since I'm his "best friend". The best part, I asked him countless times if he liked her or wanted to do something with her. He always denied it. So he lied to me, swooped in on my girl when he was married and put his wife through some real shit just after having his child. They fought drunk all the time in front of the kids because of the whole thing and left me to take care of them while it was happening. I felt bad for them, I know what it's like to be in their shoes and I didn't want them seeing it. Well, TJ and I obviously stop talking after because I was PISSED OFF.
Fast forward more... TJ reaches out to me saying he's sorry and that he has his shit together and he's back with his wife and kids in a new house, and that I should come check it out and hang out.. So I do. The whole time tho he is constantly belittling me on how I'm inferior to him and he's such a better man cause he's tough and works with his hands and I'm a scronny guy who works on computers and is weak. Well I can't take it anymore and leave. It's been almost a year since I talked to TJ and I don't plan on talking to him anymore, however, I'm not one to hold a grudge so who knows. He will probably kill someone and call me telling me he needs help and end up framing it all on me somehow.
