What is the most preposterous lie someone has told you expecting you to believe it?

Well I'm late to the party to I'll keep this quick.

Back in '96/97 I was in college in London doing a BTEC course in Media studies. It was a pretty shit course, I had middle of the road results in secondary school so was using this as a vehicle to further education.

Anyway we had a two week work experience placement as part of the course - but the catch was you had to find it yourself. I made a music video for an unsigned band, someone put me in touch with them. A friend of mine said he was going to work for some computer games company.

After we returned we all had to show evidence of our work experience and matey boy brought along a PC game, the retail copy, and booted up the pre-rendered game intro and claimed that he did the entire thing. Absolutely no questioning from the teacher, just accepted and he got full marks.

It just didn't add up. It was a 30 second 3D movie made in 3DS max, with sound design (which he claimed he also did), script and music. And they gave the whole first part of their game to a work experience kid to design. Can't for the life of me remember the game...it was 1997ish, I remember a red dragon breathing fire in the intro, I think it was the third in a series of something quite popular. Not sure if the game itself was a 3D shooter but the intro certainly was a 3D movie that had those elements.

anyway ramble - might see if I can find the game.
