What was the most unreasonable reason your parents were mad at you?

My Dad, so many stories - how does one choose?

After hanging out with some friends (who were D&D nerds) I came home with a fake rub-on Star Trek tattoo. Dad saw, assumed I'd joined a gang and wouldn't even let me speak in that conversation. Sent to my room while he discussed with my mother about either sending me to military school or just calling the cops on me because I was obviously a criminal now. By the time my Mom came to my room to see what it actually was, it was already starting to peel off. Never got an apology, as it was his mistake and everyone's supposed to forget about asap.

My boyfriend (at the time) had started teaching me how to paint miniatures and the right size box for what I had fit into an old cigar box. My Dad saw me carrying it around all week, but instead of asking - which I would've gladly shown what it was (nerd pride) he assumed it was drugs. When I got home one night, he was already drunk and chased me around the front yard about this in front of our neighbors. He eventually tackled me and wrestled it away, only to be disappointed when he saw what was inside.

We weren't getting along at all by the time one summer came around in high school and he made me get down on my knees to beg to go on vacation with someone else. He didn't want me around anyway, so what's the point, other than red pill nonsense?

When I first got my period, I was alone and scared. It took me about a hour to work up the nerve to insert a tampon. Of course, he walked in during that and assumed I was mastrubating. I was lectured for over ten minutes before being allowed to get a word in. Oh, he tells me that he's not a woman so he can't help with that (and let's focus on how awkward that was for him only...) but he still thinks he caught me mastrubating that day, in some way, so I'm a horrible dirty person in his eyes. He openly owned porn mags too.

And he wonders why there's no chance in hell he was going to be at my wedding? Or why I look for qualities in a mate that are opposites of him, but in a positive way?
