What regions of America do y'all live in? What are some "schizoid friendly" cities/environments?

Yess I am looking for where the "weirdos" live... But like.. the actual weirdos.. not the cliche or cringe type.. or the type that belong to any one particular group.. more like a place where Andy Warhol, Sylvia Plath, Ayn Rand, Marilyn Manson (and Marilyn Monroe-- why not), Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jules Verne, Mark Twain (just insert every idealistic author here), live.

Like I wish I could go back in time where the internet didn't exist and people didn't turn into cliches and memes and just developed a more authentic identity and at the same time.. they thought deeply and creatively about things and were spontaneous. But weren't possessed by some political ideology, culture or religion. Where are the free thinkers? Do they exist?
