Those aren’t equivalent at all. If you believed that men and women both do x, then there would be no reason to specifically point out one gender doing it. That’s why when you do so, it implies that it’s exclusive to that gender, in this context.

And I’m not the one that dragged this conversation into semantics, my dude. You’re the one who couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge that your wording really just did not say what you meant for it to say. There’s a difference between communicating from a broader perspective, and just plain not making sense, and sitting there throwing personal insults to invalidate everything I say is not really helping your cause at all.
