What is the trashiest thing somebody has done at your family Thanksgiving?

Me, an edgy teenager, arguing wiu one of my many sets of grandparents what parts of the Nazi regime in historical outcomes were morally grey (for example, horrible experimentation and torture leading to some very important life saving medical knowledge we use for good today). They refused to acknowledge the complicated nature of medical research that had occurred and how we benefit from some of it today. Also, indigenous children being starved in Canada in residential schools in order to provide data for vitamin deficiency research. They wouldn’t recognize how we were currently benefiting from horrible atrocious actions.

It’s very embarrassing to look back on, though.

But more recently both of these grandparents have turned out to be horribly racist and huge trump voters and supporters so there’s that too. It makes sense now.
