When I was 17 I crashed an ATV and broke multiple bones (my femur being the worst, it broke in two places and was an open fracture), punctured a lung, and had internal bleeding. I was knocked unconscious the second I crashed. The closest hospital was 45 minutes away and my friends decided their best bet was to throw me in the truck and drive me there instead of calling 911. There was so much blood that one of my friends passed out on the way to the hospital, and my best friend's dad (one of the toughest dudes I've ever met) who was waiting at the hospital when we got there, started hysterically sobbing and shaking cause he thought he was watching me die
