What's the most vindictive thing you've done to another player in a video game?

Hmm recent thing me and my corp did in EvE, my corp deployed out to the Querious region to pick some fights with the locals. After fighting in the region for a week or so an anonymous third party approached us with the offer to pay us/provide reimbursement for our ship losses if we focused our attacks on a specific alliance in the area.

It was a good deal so we accepted the contract. We began relentlessly harassing them in their home systems. We ambushed their mining ops and farming ships for 2-3 weeks, and generally made life difficult for them. To help assist our hunt we snuck a spy (or two) into the enemy alliance. This allowed us to track their movements and even recorded some of their meetings so we could use any whining they did about us in their meetings as propaganda.

We struck gold though when we found an enemy Rorqual (capital class - industrial ship) unmanned sitting behind the shields of an enemy starbase. So we of course planned to steal it. With our spy we had a man who could get inside the starbase and push the Rorqual out of the shields and into the waiting arms of one of our pilots.

Happily everything went according to plan we got the Rorqual as well as a couple of other pricey ships stolen out of the starbase. And with no one having seen us our spy could remain under cover. Until that is an enemy pilot warped to the starbase right after our forced left while our spy was still in the starbase. Luckily for us he seemed oblivious to the missing capital ship and simply left without taking any action.

This presented an opportunity our spy would be logged as having accessed the starbase hanger potentially outing him but the same could be said for the oblivious guy who showed up late.

So one of our pilots posted on their forums claiming that the enemy pilot that wandered into us was in fact our spy, and that he had double crossed us and stolen some of the assets instead of letting us take them. By claiming he backstabbed we had a reason to out the "spy" to the enemy as payback for his betrayal.

So we blamed an innocent guy for the theft of a very expensive piece of equipment all in an attempt to keep our own spy undercover.

Things worked out for him in the end to my understanding but still not the kindest thing I've been involved in.

I should mention regarding the theft of their Rorqual They were not happy

Pretty tame for an EvE story but it's what I got.
