I've been that dick. When I was a student i used to take girls to the restaurant on the ground floor of a hotel I won't name but its a UK city centre next to a huge skyrise cinema. Anyway I'd immediately give a room number for the drinks order and if they asked for a key or ID (once) I would claim I didnt have it with me and would produce cash.

If it got past the drinks stage and it did all the time, I'd order food and not hold back.

Did this six or seven times, was asked for a name once, gave a random name and nothing came of it.

Dick move? Yeah to a certain extent. If someone clocked they had extra food on their room and challenged it I'm sure it would be removed.

I had worked in hotels enough to know that it wasnt a big deal.
