So when do you guys actually consider going to the hospital?

I've been there a few times. I always stop at the point where I gag on water or throw up all the vitamins and whatnot.

I get heartburn anyway so I have pulls on hand for that and chewy tums. You should give that a shot. I also take benadryl when I get too anxious and sweaty to sleep.

The first 24 hours suck. I chug water and gatorade, take gummy vitamins, and slowly eat soup and crackers (it can take 3 hours to get one serving down). After the first 24, the nausea lifts and the weird shits hit Hourly so I start taking pepto. Drink something with electrolytes until pee is clear.

Usually sometime on day 2 or 3 I get really hungry and can eat a sandwich or whatever. That's the turning point. The anxiety lifts enough to go outside and resupply. I usually pay with PIN at this time since I'm too shaky to sign my name.

Four days in and I'm back to eating a real meal and having a solid shit. Night sweats and shakes are better but still take another week to go away.

Went to the ER once but it was under construction so they had everyone standing in a hallway to check in and wait. No bed unless you were admitted, just a folding chair. After waiting an hour I just went home and pushed through it myself. Done the same ever since. It's awful for the first day but then the heart and mind calm down and the rest is waiting it out.
