I mean I’m thinking of a specific example when I was 15. I used to hang out with this group and we started smoking weed together. This was in early 2000s for context (I’m 32).

This guy comes into the group to hang out, he’s a little older than me; and you know, he’s dressed like a tool; baby blue basketball shorts, pristine white K Swiss shoes, baby blue and white football jersey, baby blue flat brimmed hat placed gently on his head at an angle, soul patch, bleached hair; a short, pudgy ugly-ass dude. He just looked like a douchebag but eh whatever don’t judge a book by its cover.

Hanging out and getting to know him, he just brags about how many parties he’s been invited to and how many “bitches he’s fucked.”

I’m thinking, okay whatever, he’s a blowhard but I just want to smoke weed and hang out with my friends.

He ends up being an abusive crackhead who gets everyone to viciously bully me and my (then) friend’s quiet, overweight sister. He’s physically abusive and a very scary dude. He drives like an absolute maniac everywhere he goes. I was scared of him at the time. I’m not anymore but he’s gone.

He’s honestly probably the worst person I’ve ever met. I looked up his name for shits and giggles, and there’s a mugshot of him for habitually beating some girl within an inch of her life daily for the past 6 months, but the case was dropped because the “witness couldn’t be found.” I think he murdered her.
