Who had the biggest fall from grace in history?

My mum was obsessed with Oscar Pistorius... she's very much against paralympics and says they shouldn't be celebrated to the same level as the olympics because the olympics are the best of the best but the paras are "just throwing a bone to disabled people".

I would also like to point out here that both my mum and myself are disabled (in different ways)... she's always sort of hammered into me and my sister that we can't do anything we want - you have to be born with the ability/skill/whatever... anyway not the point...

Because of this opinion she was totally obsessed with Oscar - he proved her point. You can be disabled and the best in the world so why have paras if you arent good enough to be in the olympics you aren't good enough.

When his..... incident.... occurred she was shocked but she still uses him as her example when arguing with us about the paras... I have to keep reminding her that her argument involves someone who shot his girlfriend...
