Who would be the Speaker of the House if the Democrats were to regain control?

Honestly, and you're all going to laugh at me, I'd love to see Martin O'Malley for this role. He may be boring, and not have much experience in government, but that's sort of a good thing I think. Boring because he's slow, he's coordinated, and he's methodical in his words and decision-making. And his lack of experience mean he has fewer ties in the system, that could potentially stress him in certain fields of discussion. We seen this with John Boehner, and it caused him to step down. Paul Ryan, an inexperienced, less connected politician comes in and owns the house.

O'Malley has shown to be somewhat centered on issues that are disputed amongst Democrats themselves, but he himself, is a solid and founded Democrat when it comes to general policy. He would push the dem agenda, and balance the inner conflicts with true consideration, and legislation.

He also would be warmed to the Republican party because of his ties to business. Therefore I think he would be the perfect nuetralizer in disagreements amongst the two parties as well, which is of course necessary if you want an efficient and effective House.

I've been keeping my fingers crossed that we will win dem majority, a good percentage of them are Bernie's progressive endorses, and we have a well rounded, methodical speaker like O'Malley. Of course. O'Malley himself would want to take the role, and he prefers to apply himself to the executive branch rather than to legislative. Even though I personally think he'd be a fine legislator.
