Was it really necessary to use a taser here?

Tasers are "Less-than-lethal" and there have been hundreds of deaths that can clearly be linked to taser usage

There was no violent activity directed to the police officer or anyone else in the vicinity. Even if she was in the wrong here. That doesn't justify the chance of death.

Also, he could probably overwhelm her even without the taser. Even with the "Bar", which sadly is not clearly visible. It looked to me more like a small'ish wrench.

This whole thing could've ended with a fine for her. With some de-escalation training this could've gone without any violence from either side.
