I will now talk about Lootboxes and Gambling for just over 40 minutes [Totalbiscuit]

It is an opinion. Loot boxes are not a problem, therefore why would I care?

There is an area between "defending" and "attacking" when it comes to debates. Just because I don't see an immediate problem with something doesn't mean I'm defending it.

But yeah, while I'm on the topic, I'm defending it. Microtransactions aren't inherently a bad thing, they're actually a good thing. It's the same shit that gamers got upset about years ago, aka "DLC."

I remember DLC being universally shit on within various communities that I was a part of. I also never a problem with that.

Now the wheel is turning and people who think they can make a difference are up in arms about "MICROTRANSACTIONS." Guess what m8s? You're irrelevant and always will be. Not enough people care, including myself.

In all honesty, I happen to enjoy the "gambling." And this is coming from someone who barely spends money. It just means I have even less a reason to spend money because it's just not smart for me to do so. People with disposable incomes? I'm sure they don't care either or share the same sentiment.

If you have a problem with whaling when you're fucking broke, that's on you. Literally on you. No one else. Learn some self control.

If you wanna complain about the younger crowd "gambling," then look at their parents. Its on them to teach their children about this kind of stuff. There's already ESRB ratings for gambling and guess what, they're ignored. The government stepping in and trying to regulate isn't actually going to change anything.

Other countries have these laws. Even when you show people that they have a .3% chance to get something, it wont stop them from dropping $1,000 on it. People just don't fucking care m8.

Who are you to tell other people what they can and can't enjoy?
