The woes of a two-party system.

Tons of low-earning people have more money in their pockets due to the min. wage

Black unemployement before the minimum wage was much lower than it is today. The minimum wage simply bars low-earning people from taking jobs that would train them and prepare them for better jobs. So now they're just stuck on welfare and have no options except expensive college if they want to improve their life.

Read this study that found that every 10 percent increase in a federal or state minimum wage decreased black youth employment by 6.5 percent: https://www.epionline.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/even_5-2011.pdf

For one, what imposition? You consent to the minimum wage if it's a fairly enacted law, because you generally consent to the rules of society by living here; social contract. You consent to pay taxes, abide by regulations, etc, for the same reason that you consent to pay for your food at a restaurant by the action of ordering it; it's an established custom. Living in a society implies you're consenting to certain laws.

Oh come on. What is this nonsense? Just because something is a law doesn't mean that I consent to it nor does it mean that society consents to it. According to your logic abortion being illegal is totally fine because it's approved by the population due to the "social contract".

And people may vote in politicians who bring in a $20 an hour minimum wage which decimates the economy. Just because the majority of people approve of a law or policy does not make it just. The Constitution and founding fathers realized this.

If you're working for $2 an hour, you are likely being exploited

No I'm not. If I create a contract with another person where they pay me $2 an hour in exchange for my labour or service then that is between me and him. You are so arrogant to waltz along and stick your nose into my business and proclaim that I'm being exploited when I assure you that I'm not.

And being in debt; you realize the government's debt is nothing like a household's debt, right? Government debt doesn't necessarily ever have to be paid off, and a certain amount of it is actually good.

Total lie. Governments with large debts spend a HUGE portion of their annual spending paying interest on the debt. For example where I live the government spends more paying interest on the debt than it does on all social services (welfare, housing, etc...) for adults. It spends more on the debt interest than it does our public universities and colleges.
