[WP] A father or mother write a letter once a year to their child on their birthday. The child has now turned 18, their parents hand them their 18 letters. Tell a story using these letters.

You turned six today. You had a blast at your Hello Kitty themed birthday party! Mommy and Daddy love you more and more every year, Emma. You are growing a lot faster than we could have ever imagined. You love helping mommy clean the house and bake cupcakes with chocolate frosting (Your favorite). Your favorite color is pink and you want to be a princess when you grow up. No matter what, you will always be our little princess. We love you sweet girl.

Tomorrow will be your twelfth birthday! My oh my how fast time is flying! You are starting to turn into your typical teenager, all sass and back talk. Just today, you stormed off to your room and slammed the door all because we wouldn't take you to the mall and let you hang out with your friends. As of now, you still love the color pink, but you don't know what you want to be when you grow up. You hate when we tell you this, but you will always be our little princess, no matter how big you get. You refused to let us throw you a birthday party, so we will just have a small celebration here at home. We love you so much, Emma! Attitude and all.

Emma, today would have been your seventeenth birthday. We still can't believe you were taken from us so young, only weeks before your birthday. We never thought we would outlive our baby girl. That drunk driver walked away without a scratch, but yet you were the one to have to suffer. The one to lose their life at such a young age. You had so much ahead of you. You were wanting to go to school to be a doctor when you graduated high school. You only had a year left, you were so close baby. We miss you so much more than we could ever put into words! You will still always be our princess, Emma. We love you so much!

Emma, today would have been your eighteenth birthday. You would have graduated last week. Our hearts were completely broken as we sat and watched your classmates walk the stage. We waited, hoping somehow, that they would call your name and you would walk across and get your diploma. But it never happened. They surprised us by calling us up on stage and presenting us with a special diploma with your name on it. That really did our hearts good. They even played a spacial slideshow dedicated to you. You were so loved, baby girl, and you still are. We miss you so much baby girl. Mommy started college last year. I'm going to be a doctor, just for you. I'm going to carry on your dream for you baby girl. We love you so much!
