[WP] You found a ringing phone while walking in town. When you answer it, it's your evil subconscious telling you to do unspeakable things and you can't ignore them.

-6AM, time to start the week. Shower. Shave. Gas on the way. I need an oil change soon. Coffee? I'll get some at the gas station.-

"So, cue me walking into the store to get gas & coffee before work." he said to the plain clothed sheriff across the table in that insanely white room. "These rooms are always blue or green lit on tv". A confused and awkward silence. ... "Anyway, I walk into the store to get some things before work. Halfway to the door I get a phone call. It's saved into my phone already as Ego". "Ego?, what the hell.." said the sheriff. What is he on. "I have no idea who it is."

"So I answer the phone and deep voice answers. Slow and calm." He breathes in deeply, as if either to prepare himself to recall to the sheriff across the table everything as accurately as possible, or he was getting into character. Drugs are still an option at this point.

"This is going to sound to you very ..counterintuitive. Don't open the door for the brat." click "Sure enough it was the same brat whinging over her milk that I had run into a dozen times before. I saw her as I first stepped in." "right" After paying at the register he pauses. Mom and daughter finish their purchase. He doesn't move. Not an inch. It's deja vu magnified. Little girl runs ahead out the door and immediately falls lifeless as a red dot starts pouring between her eyes and up a bit. Gunfire seemingly at random. They drive off. Nothing stolen. Police reports filed and statements taken. Going to work was out that day. He gets home, sits on his bed, and wonders.... Call back: Ego

A ring from inside the drawer on the nightstand.

The caller ID on this burner phone in the nightstand read Id Besdie it a note: "Today's was a call set up to test your morals. Expect another."
