Not going to post pictures because I've put too much info about myself on here regarding minority race + profession(s), but you can paint the picture:
High school: I was emo as hell. I tried to emulate this picture in my daily life, except I'm Native American/Scottish, so I have thick, dark hair and freckles. The coon-striping in my hair didn't work so well (my hair does not bleach easily) so I dyed over it red, and had red/black hair a la Jared Leto or Gerard Way. I also did the underside of my hair bright red or magenta with the dark brown/black hair on top for much of my high school years. I wore a lot of clothes from Hot Topic, H&M, and Charlotte Russe- corsets with tees under them, black skin-tight jeans, band shirts, vests, leggings under short plaid skirts, etc. I found a "job" photographing concerts (for no pay, but it was fun and I got free concert tix and got to meet a ton of musicians) and spent a lot of my time doing that from 16-21 because I got money from my tribe for getting good grades and bought a really nice camera. I had to dress super scene/emo to impress the bands, duh. I wore a fuck ton of eyeliner, especially black and red.
Currently: I still rock a nose ring, and want to get my septum re-pierced now that I work as a server and am in school full-time and no one will care like at my prior healthcare job. My hair is dark, dark red. I dress pretty "normal" for a 26-year-old woman; skinny jeans, flannels, v-necks, cardigans and boots or Converse low-tops when I'm not at work. I barely wear makeup beyond mascara and concealer + BB cream and lipstick.
