YSK that people who menstruate are called women

Im a woman, I grew up in Los Angeles and happened to have quite a few gay friends when I was in my late teens and early 20s. I went to LA pride half a dozen times, frequented both gay and lesbian bars, and so on. Because of this, I’ve encountered more trans people than your average cis straight person would statistically encounter.

Even with that experience, I can’t recall a single time I shared a public women’s restroom with a trans woman. I’m sure it must’ve happened, but it was in no way memorable or consequential.

The arguments against it are paper thin. Maybe once or twice, a man pretended to be trans so he could attack random women in public restrooms. I guess there’s an outside chance that happened somewhere, some time.

But if you’re going to attack a woman in a public restroom, you need it to be one that isn’t heavily trafficked. If it’s not heavily trafficked, why bother with the trans woman costume?

You know what does happen with startling regularity? Straight men attacking trans women. And what better place for that than an enclosed space, like maybe... a public restroom? Perhaps in rural America?

Drop this issue, it’s dumb. You’re so close to being right with that last paragraph. The part you need to land on is the part where you give a shit what gender other people consider themselves.
