I’d much rather have herpes than diabetes. Herpes is a nuisance, like acne (whether it’s genital or oral, it’s just a nuisance). Anyone, even the cleanest, most wholesome person can accidentally get it bc that’s how common it is.

Some shit like diabetes type 2 means you have no control over your sugar intake and if you can’t control your insulin then you’ll prob end up getting your toes amputated and your whole life is dictated around your Diabetes.

Herpes > Diabetes

Yet diabetes doesn’t carry the same social stigma as “herpes.” Diabetes Type 2 tells me a lot more about your lifestyle and the type of person you are than some minor nuisance disease like herpes, that can’t even kill you if left unmanaged.
