However, most guys try so hard to come across as clever, funny, and cheeky, so the personalities from the profiles start reading like clones. No way all of you are funny just like not all woman are bubbly.

I would swipe right and hope you don’t try so hard to be this personality when we chat or I find out it’s authentic and we’re not a good fit. If you feel this is a good representation of you, then keep all of it.

I love humor but not 24/7. If you had the word “sarcastic” anywhere in your profile it would have been an immediate left swipe. No idea why 30-50% of dudes’ profiles mention how incredibly sarcastic they are. So they think they’re automatically funny by just saying the opposite of what they mean. Zero skill.

Had a boss like this who tried really hard to be funny and sarcastic 24/7 but he’s just not a funny dude and he would get laughs because umm we had to laugh at the boss’s jokes. He had amazing other qualities but truly funny? Sure - once in while he was. It’s a shame because he is very likable for his other qualities.
