AITA for refusing to pay for my son’s college unless he chooses a specific major/field?

YTA - Are you kidding me? There are a billion and one things you can do with an English degree. My undergraduate degree is in English, and I'm a lawyer but could've done just about anything I wanted. My alma mater even has a series where English majors in various careers record a short video explaining how the major helped them get the career they wanted. I did a video as a lawyer, and we've had videos from newscasters, television producers, doctors, professors, and many others. Your small-mindedness does nothing but stereotype people who choose a certain major, when in fact that major can lead to many varied and variously successful career paths.
