"I am a Christian...until now. If Jesus were to step into my church, he would be turning over tables and yelling at us. Jesus would support equal rights, do something about gun violence, fight against racism, fight for the poor, and better lives for everyone." [GOLD, AWARDS, sh]

So Jesus tells you to do something, and you can do the complete opposite while claiming to be a follower of Jesus?

Joel Osteen can preach the gospel to millions of people, while living in a $10 million home, despite the very thing he preaches from saying it’s impossible to be rich and serve God? How is he not laughed off stage?

Not saying Jesus and Stalin would be best buds, obviously they wouldn’t. One relied on force and oppression while the other on free choice and a sense of community. But acting like a belief in Jesus is compatible with the American desire for wealth is equally ludicrous when Matthew 6:24 states the exact opposite in the most clear terms possible.
