"Anarcho Liberalism" would probably be a more accurate name for the movement. True or False?

Honestly, I think people see the word "capitalism", and think we are in favor of this crony, corporate bullshit that is going on now. Hell, the entire point of anarcho capitalism to me seems to be voluntary interaction.

The definition for capitalism on dictionary.com is

an economic system in which investment in and ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange of wealth is made and maintained chiefly by private individuals or corporations, especially as contrasted to cooperatively or state-owned means of wealth.

Now, I'm a few beers in to my evening, but to me that means that people can own wealth and the means of production. Since there is no state in anarchy, that's completely irrelevant. To say that everybody owns everything would mean that there is no scarcity to anything, and since scarcity is a thing, that doesn't quite make sense.

So capitalism is individuals having stuff. That's it. Under that definition, what anarchist isn't a capitalist?

Fuck, I'm all for worker coops. I prefer that model in a lot of instances more than the traditional top-down hierarchy, or whatever the fuck you want to call it. It's considered to be a socialist model. Who gives a damn?

I'm all for communes. I think the idea of a community where everybody helps each other out, and works as one big family is great! I don't ever want to stop anybody from living in one if they choose to.

Have you ever known somebody who is poor to the point where they don't know if they're going to be able to feed themselves or their families? It's depressing as fuck. I mean, I have plenty of my own problems, but at least my fridge is full of food. I can go grocery shopping without having to bring a calculator with me to make sure I don't over-draw my account. I don't have to max out a credit card to make sure my family can eat.

I would love to help those people out. I don't make a lot of money, and some might consider me to be poor, but I eat every day. I would love to help out people in my community who can't say the same. I don't want people to suffer. People see the word capitalism, and think we all think the poor deserve to be poor and they should just die. Fuck that. Fuck your labels. Call eachother a 'capitalist' or 'socialist' or whatever, but we are all human fucking beings.

Yes, I want to help people for selfish reasons. When mankind as a whole does better, I am doing better. Should that matter? Is greed a bad thing? Feed the people in your fucking community, but not because somebody is coming in and taking money from you by force. Voluntarily contribute.

People rail on ancaps for the whole education thing. "OH, YOU DON'T AGREE WITH PUBLIC SCHOOLS, YOU WANT THE POOR TO BE UNEDUCATED DON'T YOU!?". Fuck that. I don't want people around me to lack the skills needed to survive. I don't like people going hungry. I don't like people having to steal to survive. I will gladly give money to a school to help people who don't have the income to educate their children. I just think people should have the choice to voluntarily contribute to that or not.

Ah, and then there's healthcare. "Capitalism" means that we only want people with money to be able to afford healthcare. Fuck that. Yeah, I think hospitals are businesses, and people shouldn't be FORCED to give money to them to help people who can't afford it. However, I am more than happy to help people who can't afford it. I think it's awful that people can't afford to get sick. I think that everybody should have healthcare. They should have it, but I don't think anybody should be forced to pay for somebody else.

This is all about looking after your fellow man. This isn't socialism. Nobody should be forced to do a god damn thing for them. This is about being human. This is about people helping people. Is that socialist of me to think that? Maybe, I don't give a shit. Fuck these labels. Fuck anybody who doesn't think they should help other people.

That brings me to the idea of government. You HAVE to contribute to welfare. You HAVE to contribute to schools. You have to contribute all this money to a single corporation. You don't have much of a choice in the matter. What if you disagree with that corporation? Too bad, you either do it, or they throw you in a cage. Why don't I have a choice? I feel like I'm in a fucking video game, and I'm stuck in the god damn tutorial.

Fuck, corporations at this point are arms of the government. That's it. They're all one big gang. There isn't a separation between the two. I think everybody here realizes that. Being against corporations doesn't mean I'm against capitalism. It means I'm against the state. The idea that the government exists to protect us from corporations is served to us to make us feel better, but that's what keeps the entire machine going.

Still, we shouldn't put all of our focus on what people call us. Some people like us, some people don't. Fuck what they think. Do what you can to better people as a whole. Be fucking charitable. Improve your god damn community. You don't want to be surrounded by poor uneducated people. I'm around them all the time. The first step to improving the world starts at home. Fix that, and let it spread from there.

So yeah, I guess TL;DR: I like your new term. It's helpful to make people not see the word 'capitalism' as decide we're evil before doing any research on what we're really about. It's all about voluntarism and, dare I say it, the greater good. The greater good empowers us all. If you want to be an asshole, that's on you, and I'm not going to stop you, I just won't associate with you. I just think anarcho-capitalism, or anarcho-liberalism, or whatever you want to call it, is about helping the world. Not you, not your bank account, but the fucking world. If you don't want to improve the world as a whole, you don't belong here.
