Anti-choice advocate admits to Joy Reid her ultimate goal is to make birth control illegal

So, I will admit I haven't watched the interview, but regardless of the interview this is my view on the subject.

I am pro-life simply for the fact that I believe life begins at the point of conception. There are many arguments for and against, and I can see the logic in both. I favor the side opposed to abortion, though.

Contraception is a tricky subject because it is commonly used for hormone regulation and other EXTREMELY useful/helpful tasks.

I am against female-oral birth control simply because it causes an un-natural spike in progesterone in the woman's body. This increase (in the very rare case that it happens) could cause massive problems with the fetus if the egg does become fertilized. Once again, I understand that it can help many women in the hormonal/physical struggles of simply being a woman, but those which it is unnecessary, I find it unnecessary. Thus, if it is used to help the health of the woman, I am an advocate for it. If it is used simply as a way to prevent pregnancy, I am against this method. It creates an unnatural chemical imbalance in the woman which isn't healthy.

It is a common school of thought among pro-life advocates that these "birth-control" methods are wrong because it prevents life. I also adhere to these thoughts, but not in the extreme that I want this medication to become illegal.

I hope I have presented my case logically, and am prepared to talk to anyone who is willing to have a civilized discussion on the subject.

Thanks for hearing me out:)
