I could see it definitely being a step up. We he never done anything like that, we don't get that close to couples. They have only stayed at our house if they got too drunk to drive home, but we just chunk them in a bed in one of the other rooms. Though maybe to lessen the advancement or the awkwardness, you could have him just always sleep in another room and keep the bedroom or you guys.

I don't know that dynamic well, but I would have some boundaries or play limits in place, so you still felt like you were in your own house. I wouldn't want a guy just coming in and taking over my wife and make me feel like I was their guest in my own house.
