Anyone one who tears professional topees (Hairdirect, Northwest Lace), was it a good decision?

Lady here, so obviously not quite the same. But I have alopecia and I wear toppers, which are basically smaller wigs that cover only the top of your head and clip into and blend with the rest of your hair. Sound familiar? Pretty similar to a toupee, just very long. I also sometimes glue mine on with hair spiking glue. Hair loss is pretty different for men and women. There is a much bigger stigma to losing your hair if you're a woman, but on the plus side (in my opinion), there is much less stigma to wearing hair if you're a woman. Before I took the plunge to wearing toppers I was using powders and concealers too, with a time consuming and expensive regimen just to look decent. I can honestly say I am way way happier now wearing hair. Whether mine is clipped in or glued on, it is totally wind resistant. I've not had an issue and I do live near a coast and it's quite windy. Rain is eh. I try to keep it covered and out of the rain but I've never had a problem when it has gotten a little wet. I never submerge my toppers except when washing them. I do not work out wearing hair. I wear a baseball cap or a headband with my natural hair up in a bun. I think the issue with toupees is the glue/tape doesn't hold up well with sweat. Well my toppers wouldn't really be comfortable with the amount of activity. I've taken them on rides at Disneyland with no problem though! Sorry I know this isn't the same thing. But I really wish it wasn't so taboo for men to wear toupees. My hair looks awesome all the time now. I definitely recommend though, if you think you want to go that route, to start early as possible before it looks like one day BAM you have way more hair. Just my two cents, hope it's at least a little helpful.
