Are men really welcome in the movement?

My son is mentally ill, I'm not going to go into detail about that but yes, those two women had an impact on how he felt. I tried to reassure him that those women don't represent all feminists but he was very shaken up by the situation and now thinks he's not welcome. As I've said before if this had happened to me I wouldn't care but it happened to my son and since he came out and started showing interest about several causes I have been trying to help him by being supportive and gathering information. His interest his genuine and while I understand that women aren't there to cater to men's feelings or makes us feel welcome he's still just a child.
