Canadian Government Spending $50Million to teach K-12 students and their teachers coding.

I feel the same way. I only had 2 high school teachers who were genuinely interested in teaching and I think that the education system would have seen them as the bad guys. Both of them were essentially dividing the class into a group of people who wanted to do the provided curriculum and a group of people who wanted to learn. One of them completely ignored the provided economics curriculum to tell us that he would teach us intermediate University level macro/micro economics. I majored in Economics on my first trip through University and didn't see anything new until advanced micro/macro economics in year 4. Hell, that guy even made it easier to complete some of my professional finance qualifications. He did also how us the curriculum so he could mock it and he was right to do so because I never saw any of it ever again...it was basically economics as described by a politician.
