I can't hear out of my right ear, can I just show up to a hospital and ask for help?

PLEASE don't go to the ER. You can easily go to a walk in clinic and see a doctor tomorrow if you want. It would certainly take the same amount of time. You are going to very low on the priority list at an ER. You would be waiting for hours at an ER.

What you are experiencing is not an emergency. If it was, the nurses would have told you to go there.

I know you are scared; I would be too. But you will be costing the health care system soooo much more than is necessary.

Just go into a walk in clinic. You might be surprised what they find and might be able to help you with.

Very few things actually need to be seen by a specialist. Doctors can order all the same tests; The specialists are only necessary when a level of expertise is needed to treat the condition.
