What assumption about Canada and Canadians made by people from other countries annoys you the most?

One of my least favourite stereotypes about Canada is that it lacks cuisine. Interestingly, this stereotype is perhaps most perpetuated by Canadians themselves, who regularly convey Canadian cuisine as Lay’s Ketchup Chips and Coffee Crisp Bars, while ignoring the rich and developed cuisines of places like Québec and Atlantic Canada, or the swath of unique Chinese-Canadian creations served in restaurants across the country. I could easily rattle off fifty of these dishes (likely without even leaving Atlantic Canada) even while ignoring the most obvious imports (naturally, many ‘Canadian’ dishes can trace their origins elsewhere but that is true of any cuisine, even those with long held culinary traditions - i.e. Japan with strong Chinese, Portuguese, and American influences).
