Caps discusses his G2 Esports move and his fire LEC season

Caps made such a good strategic decision in a key moment of his career. Even though FNC looked good at the time, he made a high risk-high reward choice and it paid off but in no small part thanks to his personality and qualities as a person/team player. Take for example Rekkles' high risk-high reward decision to leave FNC for Alliance a few years back. He never managed to make it work with his teammates in Alliance and even when he came back to FNC, he did not manage to unite the new members in the ways G2 have united themselves. I used to be a Rekkles fan and I still admire his resolve, but honestly I think this is part of the reason why he never made it as a world champion. He is a very consistent player, but he lacks leadership and he is too one-dimensional in his focus on being a world champion. Caps, on the other hand, clearly has a much better strategic vision and the personal qualities needed to implement it. Even though the credit for the amazing team building in G2 goes to Perkz, the fact that everyone on the team loves Caps and has such a good working relationship with him also points to Caps' own contributions in the process. I'm sure there are many other factors out there (it looks like G2 as an organization is ran very different from FNC altogether, for example, though I still thinks Perkz has something to do with that), but I genuinely think that the reason why Caps made an amazing decision where Rekkles failed in the past points to general deficiencies which ultimately affect the on-stage performance of both teams. Hence, this is why G2 is a much better and a more well-rounded team than FNC. I still wish both best of luck in worlds, but my heart is with G2.
