A college professor carries his student's child so she can sit her exams.

So I was a parent of an infant while I was in school, and there was another student who was as well, but his child's mother wasn't a student. This didn't stop her from scouring the campus day and night, never straying far from the father. Omg! It was so annoying! When my baby cries I can't pay attention to anything else. This flowed over into EVERY BABY. So there I am, trying to pay attention so I can finish school, and this guy's baby momma is pushing a crying baby up and down the halls of my school!

I am also a mother, there are TONS of better places to take that poor kid that are not the halls of classroom buildings where people are sitting exams! I had totally forgotten about this until just now.

I knew that sometimes child care wouldn't work out, so I just worked with my college dean, department chair, and professors that if I had to take off for kiddo duty I could make up an exam or stretch a due date. I only had to do it once. Not all schools are that flexible, I understand, but a classroom for adults is no place for an infant, toddler, or any kid under 11.

I'll get off my soap box now.
