Colorblind: On Witcher 3, Rust, and gaming's race problem

I just think it's kind of imperialistic to expect a foreign developer to conform to American standards of race. Poland, being a country that is 98% white, probably deals with issues of representation far less than America does.

sorry, but I do not accept this "you're being america-centric" line when representation is brought up. they're producing a game that is being sold and marketed globally. america is only one part of the world, and so is poland.

I don't see it as any different than when Japanese fantasy games based on Japanese mythology only have Japanese characters, or if a game set in the black-dominated regions of Africa to have only black characters (which should definitely exist, because that'd be super cool).

you mean japanese games that constantly feature white, non-japanese people? or japanese games like Digital Devil Saga which had black people in it?

and wait, are you saying that The Witcher is based on polish mythology? because I can't find even the author of the book series saying that, and everyone i've asked so far to give me some information regarding this polish mythology it's based on has provided nothing at all.

also, you're now implying that the game is set in poland, which the book series isn't and again nobody has provided me any information that says otherwise. so your point of "african game would be all black people" fails until I see that information because, again, the book series isn't set in even an alternate reality poland so that's not an excuse.

and, also, again, IT HAS ZOMBIE BABIES AND ZOMBIE BABIES AREN'T SOMETHING THAT EXISTS IN POLAND BUT THEYRE INCLUDED ANYWAY.
