sigh if it weren’t for the fact that people can direct their anger over a betrayal at BOTH their partner and an AP… you would maybe have a point. But you really don’t have a point there because, last I checked, people can possess anger at both and be completely justified in that. Taking issue with a slutty AP doesn’t necessarily equate to taking no issue with your cheating partner. They can co-exist in the same universe.

As far as the bit about the fantasy of thinking the world owes one something, you seem to be conflating the idea of that with what common decency and respectability actually are. It isn’t necessarily a transactional thing the way you’re painting it to be. If someone treats me like shit, that doesn’t entitle me to turn around and treat them like shit. I turn the other cheek because being better than that is the best path. The irony is that, the same person who claims they owe you nothing and therefore have the right to fuck your partner without reprisal or accountability, will be the same person with major surprised pikachu face if that logic were applied to their own partner being pursued by some slut with a vendetta.
