I just try and separate the dude from the all the bullshit he does and just think of him within the context of my work. He has a MASSIVE art collection that allows me to get hands on with works by artists that most people only get to see in museums. Being alone with a Matisse, Picasso, Renoir, etc out of the frame is a surreal experience. For all the evil that family is guilty of, his wealth has afforded me a lot of once-in-a-lifetime experiences, so I find it hard to hate him personally, although I think his politics are completely fucked.

Also you didn’t hear it from me, but the company is doing that well. I’ve watched him sell off a lot of art over the past year, which means he’s strapped for cash in some way. In the 2008 recession he had to sell of a Matisse for $200M and it was one of his biggest regrets in life, so the fact that he’s selling off art means he’s in trouble.
