Cops Beat Their Wives & Girlfriends At Double The National Domestic Violence Rate

It's not easy to understand if your not doing it everyday... The 20 year old that stared at me while I tried to save her life from being stabbed 13 times by her boyfriend in front of their 2 kids and was able to come to enough to tell us who did it and not to let them get away with it, well it still bothers me. But that was just a few weeks ago. She died... I'm sure I'll be in court over that one. The parents that killed their baby last month.. Yeah still in my head. The countless homes I walk into to do cpr on a family member, those don't bother me too much. working a code in a house a couple months ago on a guy who overdosed, while the mom stands there with a newborn baby and to get into the bedroom I literally stepped over holes in the floor and piles of dog shit everywhere... The shit happens all the time. You'd be amazed how most of it never gets any attention or goes anywhere. it's constant... It's impossible to compare a emergency service job to a funeral job. They don't deal with people in their final moments, they just deal with grieving family. who we also deal with on scene at an increased emotional state because their actively watching their world turn upside down and have no idea how to deal with it.
