Could National have handled the COVID response better than Labour?

I was under the impression that the conversation had drifted toward what is and isn't left wing on more general terms than CoViD and it was in this context I raised Denmark.

It wasn't me that made the left-right CoViD response argument and I would say that though it certainly has some merit, it is a bit of an over simplification.

That said, your point here actually supports that argument. On any reasonable scale Denmark sits left of all three of UK, France and Canada; and Australia's success at preventing rampant spread is the product of decisions made by predominantly left-leaning state premiers who actively ignored the instructions of the right-wing prime minister.
